how to use the led mask

Light-Therapy Golden Facial Treatment Device

There is no denying that technology is largely shaping the beauty and skincare industry. Implementing new technology into your daily routine is a learning curve and high-tech innovations often seem like a daunting experience. But don’t let this scare you away! LED technology has been around for decades: similar methodology was used by NASA to heal injured astronauts in the 1980s. Today it can be used as an at-home treatment. For that, we recommend our innovative, non-invasive MZ Skin Light Therapy Treatment Device.

What is LED mask therapy in the first place?

The abbreviation LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. Its overarching benefits include promoting overall skin rejuvenation and soothing, radiance boost, as well as reducing any pigmentation or other spotting and inflammation. The way it functions is by emitting varying wavelengths of light depending on the option you choose.

What Colour Light Suits My Skin?

LED mask aims to target specific skin concerns so it’s best to learn your skin type and what skin issues you want to combat in the first place. MZ Skin LED treatment has a selection of 5 wavelength. Red light (630nm) aims to strengthen and firm your skin by boosting collagen and elastin as well as add luminosity and plumpness. Blue light (430nm) has some great anti-bacterial properties to help decongest the skin and treat acne. It can also decrease propionibacterium acnes: a type of bacteria that is ubiquitous on our skin and contributes to acne. Green light (520 nm) soothes and brightens your skin by reducing hyper-pigmentation. Yellow light (570-590nm) restores calm caused by redness and inflammation. White light (450-460nm) delivers a powerful reparative skin response to restore damaged skin.

How do you use the LED mask?

Here is a step-by-step guide to using the LED treatment and getting all the right benefits for your skin. When you open the package, the kit should include the golden mask with adjustable strap, a cable, and a power control and remote. First, connect one end of the USB cable to the power control box and the other to the bottom of the device. Connect the main power cord to the power control box output and fasten straps to the mask. Press the power button to turn on the power indicator lights and then press the ON/OFF button to light up the device. Then, press the “Colour” cycle to select the mode and + or – “Time” key to choose the preferred time (recommended 10 minutes, then gradually increase up to 30 minutes). You can also adjust the intensity of the light by pressing the + or – “Energy” buttons (we recommend starting out with the lowest). Place the device over the face so that it sits on your head tightly but comfortably, close your eyes and enjoy the therapy until the mask automatically shuts down when the timer has completed.

“I have several skin concerns. Can I use multiple light options during the same session?”

Effective skincare goes by the rule “Less is Better”. Overdoing your skin all at once can cause redness and irritation and worsen breakouts. Lights can be used at the same time. In that case, we recommend two different lights for 10 minutes each. Alternatively, we suggest using a combination of lights throughout the week (i.e. Red light on Monday; Blue light in Tuesday etc.). Thus, you will be getting some type of skin treatment every day. We also do no recommend exceeding usage time as prolonged exposure could cause skin or eye damage.

LED masks are not suitable for those who are pregnant, have epilepsy, cancer, haemorrhage or if you are taking medications including, but not limited to tetracycline or steroids.
