Quercetin is a bioflavonoid which is found in many foods such as broccoli and peppers and beverages such as green tea and red wine. It is found in high concentrations in what we deem as superfoods and is linked to many beneficial properties such as an improved heart health, immune system and skin.

This bioflavonoid has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and boosts collagen production for skin. The antioxidant properties allow the Quercetin to fight free radicals that contribute to fine lines and wrinkles. Boosting collagen production helps to strengthen the skin and help reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Quercetin has also been known to stabilize mast cells, which play a large part of the inflammatory pathway. By stabilising these cells, products containing quercetin can reduce stress-induced anxiety and allergic reactions.
